About OPHARDT
In the 1960’s, the introduction of alcohol-based disinfectants into the European market cre- ated a new challenge for existing dispensing systems: pump seals were not strong enough
to hold alcohol-based disinfectant, causing the product to drain onto hospital floors overnight. Having founded OPHARDT hygiene in 1962, Hermann Ophardt was determined to find a solu- tion. Working out of his garage, Hermann invented OPHARDT hygiene’s flag-ship dispenser, theingo-man®, in 1967.
